Prince William and Kate Middleton's wedding was one of the most planned-out days in royal history, but according to Us Weekly, one impromptu moment is the one the Duchess of Cambridge cherishes most. Royal photographer Samir Hussein revealed that an off-the-cuff photo he snapped of the bride is her favorite from the big day. "It just came about really quickly," he told the outlet. "I think there was some quite big crowds outside, outside the abbey. A lot of people being camping out for days and days. And I think she just wanted to acknowledge the crowds, but also with it being such an enormous event, the cameras and stuff."

He went on to share that as soon as the moment was right and the duchess looked his way, he was able to capture the moment perfectly. "She was just acknowledging all of those around her," he noted. "It was really nice when she turned straight in my direction and waved sort of straight down the barrel of my lens, and I gave a big smile."

The royal couple was incredibly prim and proper for their nuptials, but Hussein (who still photographs the couple to this day) says that they both have fun-loving personalities—and that this is what makes for their very best photos. "They tend to be a bit more jokey," he said. "They're just a lot more relaxed, so I think that's where I get a lot of my best pictures and you can see a bit more of their personality come out."

While Prince William and Kate's wedding day was high-profile, the two just celebrated their nine-year anniversary in a private fashion. According People, the royal couple spent the day privately with their children, George, Charlotte, and Louis, at their Norfolk country home. The duo did take to their official Instagram account to show their gratitude for all of the well wishes: "Nine years ago today—thank you for all your lovely messages on The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge's wedding anniversary!"
