Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom Are Expecting Their First Child!
The singer revealed the pregnancy news in a music video for her new single, "Never Worn White."
Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom have another exciting moment to plan for, beyond their upcoming wedding: The singer revealed that she is expecting her first child with her husband-to-be in her "Never Worn White" music video. According to People, the new song mentions Katy's battle with commitment, but excitement to continue on in life with someone else: "Cause I've never worn white/But I wanna get it right/Yeah, I really wanna try with you," she sang in the chorus. "No, I've never worn white/But I'm standin' here tonight/Cause I really wanna say 'I do.'"
The pop star confirmed the news of her pregnancy after the music video—which shows her bump!—debuted, noting that it was difficult to keep private. She also shared that her album will drop around the same time she gives birth, which will happen this summer: "There's a lot that will be happening this summer, not only will I be giving birth—literally—but also figuratively to something you guys have been waiting for."
She noted that she and Orlando are "excited and happy" to welcome their first child and let her fans in on what she has been craving so far—spice being on the top of the list: "Literally never cared for spice and now I have to carry Tabasco sauce in my purse," she said. "Foods that gross me out now are beef. I'm not really into red meat. Thank God for the Impossible Burger," she added.
While the couple gears up to become parents, the two still have plans to tie the knot—Katy recently mentioning on the Kyle and Jackie O Show that she set the date less than a week Orlando's Valentine's Day proposal last year, Good Morning America reported. "There's a lot of details, but I haven't shared them. I don't know if you really need to share them with the public. There's always some silly rumor of a date change," she said. Katy added that no one should panic—including her fans—because everyone will know when the big day takes place. "Don't worry about it: It's all good and when it happens you'll know!"
