Princess Beatrice's Three-Year-Old Future Stepson Will Serve As Her Fiancé's Best Man
The toddler will be his father Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's right-hand man during the upcoming nuptials.
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi's May nuptials are just around the corner, but the royal duo is still establishing a few integral details, including the wedding party. According to The Daily Mail, the Queen's granddaughter and her husband-to-be just named toddler Christopher, Edoardo's son, as best man. The little one will be responsible for handing his father the wedding rings at the altar when they get married at the Chapel Royal in St. James' Palace.
While other duties for Christopher, better known as Wolfie, haven't yet been confirmed, he will allegedly also carry out another role at the reception. This is more groundbreaking than it sounds: At just three years old, he will make history as the youngest person to hold an official role at a British royal wedding, the outlet reports.
The couple first announced their engagement in September 2019 after becoming engaged during an Italian getaway in July, People previously reported. "We are extremely happy to be able to share the news of our recent engagement," they said in a statement. "We are both so excited to be embarking on this life adventure together and can't wait to be married."
Princess Beatrice and Edoardo went on to mention in their joint message that they can't wait to tie the knot and share a life together: "We share so many similar interests and values and we know that this will stand us in great stead for the years ahead, full of love and happiness."
