Feeling Like a Bride

When Angela went wedding-dress shopping, she struggled to find a gown that truly made her feel like a bride. But when she tried on a Monique Lhuillier off-the-shoulder number with a sweetheart neckline and a lace illusion back, she knew it would be perfect for her big day. She paired the dress with a veil, also by Monique Lhuillier, Kendra Scott drop earrings, and Badgley Mischka sandals with crystal embellishments. She later changed into Badgley Mischka flats with a pointed toe so that she could easily dance the night away with guests.

A Creamy Bouquet

Angela held a lush bouquet featuring garden roses, stock, lisianthus, larkspur, ranunculus, and lily of the valley, with gardenia and magnolia foliage for texture. The stems were then tied with a white satin ribbon.

Angela's 12 bridesmaids donned white dresses from Lulus in various styles, paired with nude pumps. "I wanted my girls to love their dresses and feel comfortable in them, as well," Angela says. "I picked three different style dresses and let them pick the dress they loved the most!" She gifted each bridesmaid a pair of Kendra Scott earrings to wear on the wedding day; they served as the finishing touch.

The Gentlemen

The groomsmen wore classic black tuxedos and bow ties, while the couple's young ring bearer matched the groom with a white tuxedo jacket. Their boutonnières were made up of white spray roses, gardenia foliage, and small magnolia leaves.

All Together Now

Angela and Jamieon have two young daughters, ages four and eighteen months, so it was only fitting that they took the roles of flower girls on the big day. They wore tulle dresses that mimicked their mom's gown. The main difference? Theirs had long lace sleeves, instead of an off-the-shoulder look.

An Emotional First Look

Ahead of the couple's first look, Jamieon was brought to a field behind the venue via a golf cart to wait for his bride. When Angela walked up behind him, he tried his best to hold back the tears. "I don't think I have ever seen him smile as big as he did when he first saw me," Angela says. "After our first look we felt a little more relaxed, still super excited, and just a tad bit nervous to walk down the aisle!"

Personal Vows

This duo exchanged personal vows during their first look instead of during the ceremony. "There were no special quotes or readings," the bride says of the service itself, noting that they centered the ceremony around "our promises" and "appreciation for each other."

The Flower-Filled Ceremony

When Angela first started working with Rebecca Rose Events, the first priority she listed was a flower-filled ceremony. The team delivered: The focal point of the space was a large arbor covered in white hydrangea, garden roses, quicksand roses, larkspur, salal, smilax vine, and magnolia foliage. "We also created an installation to line approximately 30 feet worth of the existing stone wall on either side of the arbor with flowers and greenery, as well as the aisle," the couple's planner explains.

Make You Feel My Love

Angela was accompanied by her father as she made her way down the aisle to "Can't Help Falling in Love" by Kina Grannis, performed by a string quartet. As the rest of the family processed in, the quartet played Adele's "Make You Feel My Love," and switched to Bruno Mars' "Marry Me" when the wedding party entered.

Following the service, guests moved on to the cocktail hour, during which they enjoyed signature drinks, an open bar, appetizers, and more music from the string quartet. Meanwhile, the couple escaped to the bridal suite. "We had signature cocktails and appetizers brought to us," the bride says. "This alone time was one of our favorite moments of the day!"

A Fairy-Tale Setup

The reception space was filled with both round and long estate tables, topped with light gray textured linens; they played nicely with the soft fabric draped from the ceiling, which also boasted dramatic chandeliers. Below, each station was set with tall taper candles in glass hurricane vases.

The Cake

Cakes By Chloe created Angela and Jamieon's wedding cake; the team decorated the sweet treat with the couple's monogram and the same watercolor artwork seen on the invitation envelopes. The five-tiered cake was comprised of chai latte and almond cake with raspberry filling layers. As for the other desserts on offer? As a nod to the bride's Mexican heritage, the couple also served Mexican chocolate ganache gingersnap cookies—and "al pastor" quesadillas for a midnight snack.
