Although Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas have been married for half a year, new details about their extravagant three-day wedding in India are still coming to light.

In a recent cover interview with Elle UK, the actress and UNICEF ambassador opened up about planning her nuptials. As it turns out, just like her dating relationship and engagement to Nick Jonas, Priyanka Chopra's wedding came together in a whirlwind. Chopra told the outlet, "We decided on the venue for our wedding in October and we got married on 1 December. We had one-and-a-half months to plan, so we were just like, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, let's get it.' And suddenly we were like, 'Ohhh god.' It was very extravagant."

While the wedding-planning process may have been a whirlwind for Chopra, she feels confident and settled in her relationship with Nick Jonas. "I'd never realized having a husband and a boyfriend are such different things. When you say your vows, it's like, this person is my family, and it's the family I chose. There's a weird responsibility to them. And a safety that comes from it...We are learning about each other every day," she continued.

The fact that Chopa and Jonas' nuptials came together so quickly makes the timeline of her wedding dress' creation that much more impressive: The garment took Ralph Lauren's team 1,826 hours to make. Though the designer must have been working on the long-sleeved, high-necked ensemble before the bride chose her venue, Lauren clearly expedited the process to ensure the dress was finished in time. This means that the designer's choice to create Chopra's bridal gown-at the time of her engagement, he had only designed three wedding dresses (one for his daughter, his daughter-in-law, and his niece) over the course of his career-was even more of a labor of love than we knew. "I was blown away," the actress told People just a few days after the celebration.
