(Meadowood Napa Valley, however, makes an epic backdrop, no matter the story.) "We chose Napa because we got engaged there, and loved the place and how serene it was," says Andrea. "We chose Meadowood Napa Valley because it was the most beautiful storybook hotel." Plus, it had plenty of room to house the couple's 140 guests. With the help of wedding planner Lisa Vorce, Andrea and Jacob designed a celebration that could "incorporate the beauty of Napa" without competing with it, Andrea says. She adds, "We had most of the wedding events either in a winery or outside, because that is what Napa is all about. We wanted the beauty of Napa to shine through." That meant working inside a color palette of ivory and green and enhancing these earthy shades with many natural elements—think sprigs of greenery, potted trees, and wood—both in the décor and the lush, organic floral arrangements designed by Max Gill Design. Despite their wedding's beauty—and it was truly beautiful, from the rehearsal dinner to the reception—Andrea says what made it really special were the people who attended. "Our wedding was special because we got to share it with our family and friends in a place that means a lot to us," Andrea says. 01 of 22 The Rings KT Merry While Andrea had previously told Jacob what she wanted in an engagement ring—a haloed oval diamond—he "passed my expectations," she explains, "because it is gorgeous and my dream ring!"
