After nearly three days of waiting in anticipation, we officially know the royal baby's name—allow us to introduce you to Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle took to their joint Instagram account to reveal their son's name to the world.
The big news comes after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle introduced their new bundle of joy to Queen Elizabeth earlier today. "This afternoon Their Royal Highnesses introduced Her Majesty The Queen to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle," the post read. "The Duke of Edinburgh and The Duchess' mother were also present for this special occasion."
In an interview with Sky News on Monday, Harry explained that the couple was still mulling over a name for their new baby. "The baby's a bit overdue, so we've had a little bit of time to think about it, but that's the next bit," he said.
Royal fans also got their first glimpse of Archie this morning after the new family took part in a special photo op at St. George's Hall in Windsor Castle. Markle and Harry were clearly overjoyed at the much-anticipated arrival of their son, and explained they were enjoying their new status as parents. "It's magic. It's pretty amazing. I have the best two guys in the world, so I'm really happy," Markle said during the press event, reports People. Harry also spoke about his excitement in taking on a new role as a father:"It's great. Parenting is amazing. It's only been two-and-a-half days, but we're just so thrilled to have our own little bundle of joy," he told the press.
