Sophie Turner Says Her "Game of Thrones" Co-Star, Maisie Williams, Will Be Her Maid of Honor
The actress announced that her on-screen sister will be one of her two bridesmaids.
Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas are in full wedding-planning mode in preparation for their summer nuptials. The actress has even decided on her wedding party, telling Entertainment Tonight that her Game of Thrones co-star, Maisie Williams, will be her maid of honor. After Williams told the publication that she was still deciding what she was wearing to her on-screen sister's wedding, Turner responded, "I don't know why she's thinking about [what she's wearing to my wedding]. I'm giving her the bridesmaid dress!" She continued, "She's my maid of honor! One of two."
We can't say we're surprised, considering the real-life best friends have been inseparable since Game of Thrones started filming 10 years ago. Turner even confirmed last year that Williams would play a role in her bridal party. Although the star has yet to reveal her second maid of honor, fans are speculating it could be the actress' soon-to-be sister-in-law, Priyanka Chopra.
As for their other wedding details, the couple has decided to keep most big-day elements under wraps. We do know that the duo is relying heavily on a wedding planner due to their busy schedules. Turner recently told Extra that "wedding planners are key" because "that means you don't have to do anything." Turner's British roots are also going to play a unique role in the celebration. Jonas confirmed to James Corden on the Late Late Show that, in honor of his new family's love for rugby, he plans to get a game going at some point during their wedding weekend.
It's clear that no matter what takes place at Turner and Jonas' nuptials, the event is going to be all about love and romance. Turner has been very open about how she has "found [her] person" in Jonas, even comparing it to finding a forever home, reports Marie Claire. She went on to describe the "sense of peace" that she has felt since finding love with her husband-to-be.
