Karamo Brown of Queer Eye has been busy planning his wedding to fiancé Ian Jordan for the past ten months. Now, the Netflix star is opening up to Us Weekly about the process—and how one recent, high-profile wedding is shaping his own.

According to Brown, Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's wedding, which took place in India in December 2018, is his main source of big-day inspiration. Brown looked to the couple's opulent, over-the-top ceremony when planning his—but he and Jordan have definitely been feeling the pressure to live up to this model. "We haven't given out the date yet but it's getting way extravagant, out of hand," he told the outlet. "I was telling people the other day that [my fiancé] has been having anxiety attacks because of the wedding planning, so I've just stopped telling him the details."

Though Brown was influenced by Jonas and Chopra's lavish, multi-day event, he knows he'll have to modify a few things (his own event, however, will actually be bigger than theirs—Brown and Jordan are hosting 350 guests, while Jonas and Chopra invited just 200). "Let me tell you something, Priyanka and Nick Jonas are my goals," he said. "I mean, I'm doing well financially, not as well as them, but I'm trying to figure out how can I recreate what they had because I loved it."

Brown proposed to Jordan back in May 2018 while the two were celebrating the TV director's 40th birthday. And while Jonas and Chopra's celebration might be the muse for his own, Brown wants to honor something more important: his and Jordan's love for each other. "We're also seven years in since marriage equality was enacted," he said, "so I want to celebrate the strides we've made in our country and also my love."
