After orchestrating and executing numerous weddings for celebrities, planner Colin Cowie will finally be able to design his own. Yesterday, Cowie told Page Six that he and boyfriend Danny Peuscovich are engaged.
Cowie proposed while the pair was on a trip to South Africa. "The proposal was flawless! We were staying at Kubili House, the most exclusive game lodge in South Africa," he told the outlet. "Danny thought we were going on a helicopter safari, but all of a sudden we flew over [famed canyon] God's Window, and down below there was a sign that said 'Danny, will you marry me?'" Cowie surpised Peuscovich with a vintage bottle of Dom Pérignon, two glasses with the coordinates of their engagement spot, and an African choir who performed in Spanish as a nod to Peuscovich's Argentinian heritage.
If the proposal's extravagance level (and Cowie's client list, which includes Oprah and Tom Cruise) is any indication, the couple's wedding is going to be next-level. The plan so far? Cowie told the outlet that the duo is currently considering a two-and-a-half-week-long affair in South Africa.
Although Cowie and Pescovich met six years ago, the two made it relationship official just one year ago—they now have their sights set on a winter wedding date of Feburary 2020. However the wedding comes together, Cowie is thrilled to be marrying the love of his life. "I've organized events all over the world, but this will be my favorite wedding," he said. "I never thought this would happen for me, but we're both completely in love."
