Mandy Moore and Taylor Goldsmith's love story is proof that celebrities are a lot like us. The now-newlyweds didn't meet at an award show after-party or on the red carpet—they actually first connected on Instagram in 2015. In an interview with InStyle, Moore opended up about her experience with finding lasting love online—and shared her best tips for people currently going through the same thing.
As for how Moore and Goldsmith's relationship kicked off? The actress posted a photo of Goldsmith's band's album cover on Instagram, the singer reached out to thank her for praising his music, and the rest is history. "We have a modern kind of love story," she told the outlet. "But if someone would have told me three years ago, 'That's your future husband, and you're going to meet him through Instagram,' I would have thought that they were absolutely bonkers. It proves that you have to stay open-minded because you just never know."

During the interview, Moore also discussed the stigma that may come with realtionships (of any kind!) that start online. Her advice? "We shouldn't have any judgment about what helps people find one another," she said. "I've met lots of friends on Instagram too. We live in such a crazy, exhausting world, I think it's perfectly logical that this is how we connect with each other. It's how we all communicate now anyway, so it doesn't feel weird to me that it's a way you can find a relationship that will really last."
Moore and Goldsmith recently tied the knot in November 2018, in an intimate backyard ceremony. Their modern meet-cute aside, it's clear that Moore found her best friend in Goldsmith. "I feel incredibly understood and supported," Moore told People in 2017. "I feel incredibly lucky to have somebody who is like, 'I got your back.' I found the right person and I feel like we can handle anything together."
