Although Meghan Markle and Prince Harry haven't confirmed the gender of their baby, royal fans think the couple has been dropping hints that they're having a girl. The most recent clue came from Markle's lavish New York City baby shower, which took place earlier this week. Many people noticed a plethora of pink flowers and décor being brought into the venue.

According to the Daily Mail, the elaborate shower, which was said to have been hosted by Markle's close friends Amal Clooney and Serena Williams, was held in the Grand Penthouse Suite at The Mark hotel on Tuesday. The $75,000 room was filled with blush-colored roses and a pink cotton candy machine. Some guests even showed up wearing pink attire and carrying gifts wrapped in the telling hue. Case in point: Gayle King wore a hot pink dress and matching pink heels for the celebration.

Markle and Prince Harry haven't formally announced the gender of their child, and are most likely won't until after the prince or princess is born. However, that hasn't stopped British citizens from placing bets on the sex the of the newest royal. In fact, British bookmakers were force to suspend the market on the gender of the baby in mid-January after an influx of bets had come in saying it's a girl. "We haven't seen too much betting on this market for a while, but tonight all of a sudden we have seen a flurry of betting activity on the baby to a girl," Katie Baylis of Betfair told the Daily Mail.

Royal watchers aren't the only people hoping for a girl. Prince Harry made his own wager while attending the Invictus Games in Sydney in October. In a candid moment captured on camera, a bystander was heard shouting, "Congratulations, I hope it's a girl," to which Harry responded, "So do I!"
