Tom Brady Said He Couldn't Have Won the Super Bowl Without Gisele Bündchen's Support
The quarterback was excited to spend time with his family after the big game.
Although Tom Brady has appeared in nine Super Bowls (and won six of them!), the athlete recently admitted that his skills aren't the only factor that go into his impressive career-his family is also a major component of his success. In an interview after last night's game, the quarterback said that he couldn't have brought home the win without the support of his wife, Gisele Bündchen, and kids.
Brady also said that he is excited to take some time off the field and spend it with the ones he loves most. "I can't wait to just spend some time with my family, my kids and my wife," he told CBS during a post-game interview. "I couldn't do it without their support. It's just been a great year." Bündchen showed that unrelenting support for her husband ahead of the game on Saturday with an Instagram post captioned, "I got your back."
The couple met back in 2006 after a mutual friend set them up on a blind date. Bündchen told Vanity Fair that she knew he was "the one" almost immediately. "I knew right way-the first time I saw him," she told the outlet in 2009. "The moment I saw him, he smiled and I was like, 'That is the most beautiful, charismatic smile I've ever seen!'" The two married in two separate ceremonies that same year: one in Santa Monica and the other in Costa Rica.
Since then, the couple have welcomed two children. And while the two may debate over when the athlete should hang up his jersey, the pair is still extremely supportive of one another. "To my love," Bündchen captioned another loving post, "we are incredibly proud of you because we are able to see every day all the commitment, sacrifice, and hard work that you have devoted to become the best in what you do. We love you!"
