Arnold Schwarzenegger is finally opening up about his daughter Katherine Schwarzenegger's engagement to Chris Pratt. In short, he couldn't be happier. During an interview with Extra's Mario Lopez, the actor commented on how he feels about his future son-in-law for the first time since the couple announced their new relationship status on January 14th. "That was really fantastic. She is so happy, they both are so happy," Arnold said. "As I said to him, he is such a likable guy. I love Chris—he's fantastic."

Arnold let the public in on more intimate details of the couple's engagement, too, telling Extra that Chris asked him for his daughter's hand the "traditional way" before actually getting down on one knee. Arnold then continued to gush about Chris. "He's a wonderful guy," he added. "They both look really great together, they're both happy together, so I wish them both the best of luck."

Arnold isn't the only family member of Katherine's to offer their love and support to Chris since their big announcement. Katherine's mother, Maria Shriver, also had some kind words for the actor. "Congratulations to two loving kind caring thoughtful Spiritual people," Maria wrote on Chris' Instagram post announcing his commitment to Katherine. She continued, "We are so happy for you, you are blessed as is everyone who knows you yes let's go."

Although the duo's engagement is all anyone can talk about these days, Katherine has explicitly told her parents to keep details of the proposal and wedding plans private. Maria told TODAY, "She's super happy—and gave me very strict instructions not to talk about it." She continued, "She said, 'It's not your moment.' I'm like, 'I'm clear.' I gave her that line!"
