Although Lady Gaga has been in the Hollywood spotlight for over 15 years, last night marked her Golden Globes debut as an actress. While it wasn't her first walk down the award show's red carpet, the singer said this event was even more special to her because of her fiancé, Christian Carino—sharing her win (the performer took home a Golden Globe for Best Original Song in a Motion Picture for her hit "Shallow") with her future husband was a major highlight.
The A Star is Born lead opened up to Entertainment Tonight on the red carpet, explaining that she was thankful she got to share the experience with Carino. "He's here, and he's wonderful," she said of her partner. "He was so supportive through the entire filming process, and you know, I love him, very much." Gaga also said her walk was more memborable because she got to "share it with the one that [she loves]." Lady Gaga also revealed the key piece of advice Carino, a talent agent, gave her ahead of the evening: "He said, 'Enjoy yourself'—that's what he said."
As for the couple's upcoming wedding plans? While the two have reportedly discussed a ceremony, Carino and the singer have decided to put off the nuptials until she is less busy. "Christian loves to make her happy and he is so proud of her success," a source told Entertainment Tonight back in December. "He is patient because he was a huge influence in her doing the film to begin with. The amazing thing about their relationship is that he understands her work and career and he is there to guide her."
The source also revealed just how deep the couple's bond truly is. "This relationship is different because Christian understands her on a more intimate level," the source said. "She trusts him fully and feels totally secure around him."
