Priyanka Chopra wowed the world when she debuted her custom Ralph Lauren wedding dress during her December nuptials to Nick Jonas. Turns out, the bride had the exact same reaction when she saw tried on the gown for the first time. As evidenced by a new video from the lauded designer, Chopra's first fitting was an emotional experience.

It's no wonder-the dress, which took 1,826 hours to make, incorporated eight meaningful words and phrases per the brides request. In the video, two can be seen-the couple's wedding date and "love." The intricate gown also featured floral and scroll motifs, lace appliqués, scalloped sleeves, and a 75-foot-long veil. The actress told People back in December that she chose Lauren's atelier for a sentimental reason. "They're so much a part of our love story for obvious reasons," she said, referring to the Ralph Lauren 2017 Met Gala ensembles both she and Jonas wore when they first debuted their relationship. The gown was also remarkably special to Lauren. "When Ralph Lauren approached us, I learned that Ralph has only designed three wedding dresses in 50 years-one for his daughter, his daughter in law, and his niece," added the bride. "I was blown away."

In the new video, fans can see just how "blown away" Chopra was with the designer's creation. She is filmed being buttoned into the dress and trying on a show-stopping veil, before stepping in front of a mirror with an awe-struck expression. The video also shows the painstaking work that went into not just crafting the dress, but also designing the sketch that began it all. "When we went in for the sketch presentation, they created exactly what I envisioned for myself on my wedding day," notes Chopra.

The video's caption revealed exactly what designing Chopra's gown meant to Lauren-and how the bride inherently inspired its design: "This isn't about a dress," he wrote. "It's about a woman and a moment. Priyanka Chopra knows exactly who she is, and so I wanted the dress to reflect, not only her love story and the romance of India, but also her unique sensibility: strong, smart, and beautiful."
