Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's lavish ceremony isn't the only traditional Indian wedding to make headlines this month. Isha Ambani, the daughter of India's wealthiest man, Mukesh Ambani, is set to wed real estate tycoon Anand Piramal on Wednesday in what's expected to be an over-the-top event. But the upcoming ceremony and reception aren't the only parts of the big day that are making headlines: The couple hosted a pre-wedding event on Sunday that included a number of A-list guests and was capped off with a special performance by Beyoncé.
According to the Associated Press, the singer, who shared an Instagram photo of herself in the traditional Indian attire she wore during the event, performed a number of her hit songs during the celebration, including "Crazy in Love" and "Perfect." She wore a stunning red-and-gold dress featuring a deep V-neckline and a thigh-high slit for the occasion, and accessorized with dangling gold earrings, a gold bracelet, and gold ring. Later, she changed into a beaded gold number.
Beyoncé wasn't the only famous face in attendance at the star-studded event. Other VIP guests included Hillary Clinton, who has known the Ambani family for over a decade, Arianna Huffington, and Jonas and Chopra (Ambani served as a bridesmaid in the couple's wedding just last week!). Chopra posted an Instagram story of her place card at the event, which featured her new name, "Priyanka Chopra Jonas."
Ambani and Piramal will be married on Wednesday, and they're currently referring to their event as a "big, fat Indian wedding." According to Reuters, security has been heavily ramped up for the large-scale wedding, and invited guests will be given access to a custom app that maps out activities for the celebration.
