With Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra's wedding reportedly just days away, we're learning more than ever about the highly-anticipated event. As it turns out, just one wedding ceremony won't be enough for the couple. According to PEOPLE, Jonas and Chopra are planning to celebrate each of their cultures by having both a Western and an Indian ceremony.
A source told the outlet that having dual ceremonies was a must-have for the pair, who got engaged in July. "It is super important to Priyanka to have an Indian ceremony that honors her heritage and culture, just as it's important to also have a Western ceremony that honors Nick's Christian upbringing," the source said. "They are doing both."
And those ceremonies are apparently set to take place in the upcoming days. The soon-to-be bride and groom arrived in Delhi, India, last week. Since then, it has been nothing but non-stop pre-wedding activities, including a traditional puja ceremony—a prayer ritual that celebrates an upcoming event. Many guests have also been making their way to the wedding destination. According to E! News, this involves Jonas' five confirmed groomsmen: his three brothers, his Kingdom co-star, Jonathan Tucker, and Priyanka's brother, Siddarth.
Cosmopolitan reports that the ceremonies, which may take place as soon as this weekend, will be held at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodphur, where Jonas and Chopra were most recently spotted. Security has already been tightened at the venue for what is sure to be a star-studded event.
