Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas might be getting married even sooner than we thought, since the couple has (allegedly!) already taken legal steps to do so. According to The Blast, the Quantico actress and her pop star fiancé visited the Beverly Hills Courthouse last week to file the necessary paperwork to obtain a marriage license. The same source reveals that the couple plans on bringing the document with them to India, where they're allegedly tying the knot in December. The plan is to file the license stateside, after the ceremony, so their marriage is official in both of their native countries.
As for why we think the wedding will come sooner rather than later? Marriage licenses are only valid for a limited period of time—in the state of California, these documents expire after 90 days. If the reports are true, this would mean that Priyanka and Nick will have to tie the knot within that period.
This timeline seems accurate, especially if you consider the bride-to-be's recent string of pre-wedding parties. Just last week, Priyanka celebrated her bridal shower at Tiffany & Co. in New York City and then jetted off with future sister-in-law Sophie Turner (the Game of Thrones star is engaged to Joe Jonas) for a bachelorette party in Amsterdam.
It's also not surprising that Nick and Priyanka's wedding would predate Sophie and Joe's, even though the latter couple has been together (and engaged!) much longer. Priyanka and Nick's relationship has always been a whirlwind. They got engaged this summer after only two months of dating and followed that up with an engagement party and roka ceremony in India just weeks later.
