If Chrissy Teigen and John Legend's Halloween costumes are any indication, the couple is clearly just as enthralled by the royal family as we are. Though the majority of the monarchy's recent news has involved Prince Harry and Meghan Markle (and Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank!), the duo bypassed the younger lineage and went straight for the throne by dressing up like Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip, respectively.
They shared the details of their costumes, which included a blue coat and white curly wig for her and a British military-inspired uniform and gray wig for him, on their Instagram accounts. A particularly funny snapshot showed John getting into character in one of his Stories as he addressed his followers with a royal greeting: "Hello, Happy Halloween to our loyal subjects." Chrissy, who actively shares the couple's daily lives on social media, admitted that the costumes were just for fun—they weren't even going to a party. "We were going to go somewhere, but we're so tired, so we're at home," she said, from the couch. John confessed that they "just did it for the 'Gram," since they had worked all day.
Four of Chrissy and John's friends also joined in on the theme. Luke Dillon and Jen Atkin dressed up like Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, while Mike Rosenthal and Meghan Mackenzie went as Prince William and Kate Middleton. The makeshift royal family posed for a few photos before the Queen's "grandsons" and their "wives" headed off to Kendall Jenner's party.
