Chrissy Teigen and John Legend Are About to Be Co-Stars

Chrissy Teigen and John Legend are one of Hollywood's busiest (and most entertaining) couples; they seemingly tackle new business ventures and roles all the time. As for their latest venture? They will actually be joining forces to bring it to life. According to Marie Claire, the pair will star in the animated Netflix movie The Mitchells Vs. The Machines, which is set to debut on April 30. While the couple is staying quiet about the characters they'll be playing, they will be joining a star-studded cast, including Abbi Jacobson, Maya Rudolph, Eric Andre, Olivia Colman, and Danny McBride.

Thankfully, we did get some insight into the plot of the film—and it is clear that it is perfect for movie lovers of all ages: "While driving to campus, [the lead] and her family come across a tech uprising, which leaves them to figure out how to save the world," Deadline reports. While this is the first time we'll see John and Chrissy working together on the big screen, they always show each other support in everything they do. During the Glamour Women of the Year Awards back in 2018, the singer awarded Chrissy the night's biggest prize. "Really it is an honor, and I see John accept these things all the time. You know, he has a whole shelf full of them, so now I have one too, so I'm very excited," she said, Entertainment Tonight previously reported.

John praised her as he presented the award, not just for the amazing business woman she is, but because of everything she does for him and their family. "I have a career in the music business, but we all know who the star of the family is. She's the heart and soul of the family, too—but I'm not the only one who loves her. Many millions of people who aren't married or related to her love her, too," he shared in the sentimental tribute.

"You completely made me a woman," Chrissy said. "We've grown together. Our family's grown together. Our careers have grown together." She then wiped away her tears and joked that the moment was getting more emotional than when they exchanged vows in 2013. "This is so sappy. I'm sorry. I hate it. I didn't cry during our wedding. I hate you, John, I really do," she laughed.
