Gisele Bündchen and Tom Brady have been married for almost 10 years, but only now is the model sharing her wedding memories in full detail. Trust us when we say it was worth the wait! In the star's new book, Lessons: My Path to a Meaningful Life, she gives fans a closer look at her journey to both professional and marital success. In honor of its release, Boston.com posted an exclusive excerpt about the couple's big day.

"Our wedding took place at sunset on a warm day in early April," Bündchen writes in the memoir, referencing one of multiple nuptial celebrations they had. This one was intimate: "Around forty people gathered in our open living room," she recounts.

She goes on to explain the sweet ceremony's meaningful touches. "On a nearby table strewn with candles and assorted crystals sat two bowls, one containing honey and the other rice. The honey, it is said, would sweeten our future, and the rice anticipates prosperity." She also describes her bohemian bridal gown. "I wore a simple white slip dress. My feet were bare."

Later, she dives into the couple's reception, which was "more like a free-for-all, a joyful, relaxed party, just the way I'd always imagined it would be." Guests snacked on Mexican food and sipped on margaritas while music-that Brady selected-played in the background. While Bündchen admits that much of the night blurred together, a special moment still stands out to her. "I do remember looking for, and finding, Tom, and though I can't remember who led and who followed-does it matter?-we started to dance. We are still dancing, and growing through the ups and downs of life," she reflects.
