Sarah Ferguson, the Duchess of York, is preparing for her role as mother of the bride at daughter Princess Eugenie's wedding this October. As the couple's upcoming nuptials inch closer, the proud mom just revealed what she thinks is the secret to her daughter and future-son-in-law's successful relationship: They balance each other out.
According to People, Ferguson said Jack Brooksbank "is an amazing bringer of light and he brings joy." On the other hand, "Eugenie is very controlled, she is so sorted. She knows exactly what she wants." The pair may have opposite personalities, but they're united on their wedding vision and progressive lifestyles, Ferguson continued. "[They're] very contemporary, they are very inclusive, and they are all about love, and they want this wedding to be about that, to include everybody and to really absorb the love they have for each other with everybody else."
Ferguson also offered her future son-in-law some advice on behalf of her and Eugenie's father, Prince Andrew: "We go with our hearts, we go with the family unity. We really believe in that, you can see that the York family unity, it's all about seeing the light in life."
Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank aren't the first royal duo to tie the knot this year. The couple will wed at the very same church where the bride's cousin, Prince Harry, married Meghan Markle in May. Though there's a chance one relative might be missing in action—Kate Middleton may be with her sister, Pippa, who is expected to give birth to her first child around the wedding date—it's anticipated that the entire royal family will be in attendance. In addition to the monarchy, 1,200 members of the public have also been invited.
