Friday was just like any other fan-filled day for Taylor Swift, at least until Anthony Yannuzzi and Stephanie Pysher walked into her Reputation tour's Philadelphia meet and greet. Yannuzzi had been planning to propose to Pysher in front of their favorite pop star for weeks, and when the moment came to fruition, a surprised Swift couldn't contain her reaction, reports USA Today.
The "Look What You Made Me Do" singer took to Instagram to document the incredible experience. "They walk into the meet and greet and he says, 'We met 5 years ago at the Red tour,' and then...," she captioned the photo, which showed Yannuzzi, down on one knee, proposing to an emotional Psysher. As for Swift's reaction? Her open-mouthed expression shows that she was just as shocked as the future bride-to-be.
Yannuzzi's master plan was full of surprises from the very beginning. In June, he created a Twitter account called @TSphilaPROPOSAL, which was dedicated to getting Swift's attention—his ultimate goal was always to have the celebrity facilitate the moment. It worked, but not in the way he expected. The twosome was fortuitously picked at random to privately meet Swift. The musician had no prior knowledge that two of her fans would become engaged (literally) under her nose.
The couple celebrated their newly-engaged status with—wait for it—more Taylor Swift. They recently attended her concert wearing celebratory t-shirts, emblazoned with Swift's Instagram photo. "We're back as the engaged couple," Yannuzzi wrote on Instagram, alongside an image of the soon-to-be newlyweds outside the venue.
