Bee Shaffer, the daughter of famous Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour, is married! Us Weekly has confirmed that the fashion heir married Francesco Carrozzini over the weekend. As expected, the event was very high-profile—so high-profile that a famous actor officiated.
According to Us Weekly, Colin Firth presided over Shaffer and Carrozzini's wedding ceremony, which was held at Wintour's home in Mastic, New York. Other celebrity guests included Donatella Versace.
Sources told Page Six that the couple enforced a wedding social media ban, asking all 150 of their guests to give up their phones during the private nuptials. The event was kept so under wraps that the newlyweds have yet to post any wedding photos. Shaffer did confirm their union in a subtle way, however. She changed her last name on Instagram to Carrozzini.
Shaffer and Carrozzini were first spotted together back in 2016. Their engagement was announced in 2017, and Shaffer debuted her engagement ring on the Met Gala red carpet soon after. Carrozzini proposed with a stylish accessory (of course): a big diamond surrounded by smaller diamonds on a yellow-gold band, reports People.
According to People, Shaffer is currently in the theater production industry. Meanwhile, her new husband is a director and photographer—he worked on music videos for celebs such as Beyoncé. Carrozzini also has fashion-royalty roots, just like his bride. His late mother, Franca Sozzani, was once the editor-in-chief of the Italian Vogue. For now, we can only imagine their fashionable wedding attire!
