20 Pretty Envelope Liners That Dressed Up Wedding Invitation Suites
We've seen our fair share of picture-perfect wedding invitations. From floral motifs and watercolor accents to bold metallic prints and endless loops of calligraphy, there are so many ways to make your paper suite stand out from the rest. Lately, we've been drawn to one stationery element in particular: envelopes. More specifically, statement envelope liners. What's an envelope liner, you ask? You'll find it on the inside of your casing's triangular top (it's the part the folds down to seal everything together!). Turns out, it's the perfect place to make a didn't-see-it-coming statement.
Just take the following gorgeous invitation suites—all complete with pretty envelope liners!—from real life celebrations, for example. They represent the very best of the statement liner trend, albeit in different ways. Looking for something bold and decidedly retro? Make like one bride and hand-line your envelopes with a flower-power print. If you're looking for a way to make a colorful statement on an otherwise neutral invitation suite, consider going splashy in the envelope department—a burgundy, peach, and pink color combination is always a bright idea. This particular stationery detail is also a great place to pay homage to your future wedding venue. Several of our favorite liners involved hand-drawn renditions of a ceremony or reception space—just make sure you hire adequate talent to bring this creative vision to life!

Green and Brass
Studio R Design's envelope's brass-toned metallic lattice (note how the pattern incorporates the couple's monogram!) contrasted the set's verdant colorway.
The smudged, hand-drawn effect of the Spanish estate featured on this duo's envelope liner (it was sketched by the mother of the bride!) paired perfectly with the old-world-inspired, deckle-edged notes.
To play off the vibes of this tropical-themed celebration, Scriptura added exotic green leaves to the stationery's envelope liner.
This couple and their stationer, Waldo Press, looked above their Napa Valley vineyard venue when designing this suite's liner. The dark tree tops brought an outdoorsy touch to the cream and navy set.
This multifaceted suite, executed by Four Leaf Clover Studio, involved an illustrated map, vintage-inspired stamps, and a botanical envelope liner.
At an elevated farm wedding, the restored barn acted as more than just a ceremony space. The elegant venue also inspired much of the couple's invitation set, from the RSVP card to the envelope liner (all created by Emily Mayne Studio!).
Fruits and Flora
Exotic leaves dominated the majority of this Rifle Paper Co. stationery, but its floral and fruity elements (how cute are those illustrated kumquats on the envelope liners?) were just as statement-making.
Noir-styled peonies on muted black backdrops were seen throughout these Yonder Design paper goods, most notably on the envelope liners and card separators. The bloom was incorporated onto the actual invite more subtly, with an embossed version on its back.
The leaf motifs used throughout each part of this Lily + Jude paper set connected the stationery back to the single-bloom liner.
