While the main fashion attraction at Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding was obviously the bride's simple and stunning long-sleeved wedding dress, there were a few other key players in the style game for the big day. That included Markle's mother, Doria Ragland, who stunned in a light green Oscar de la Renta outfit.
Ragland accompanied her daughter by car to Windsor Castle on the morning of the event, as Kensington Palace previously announced. She donned a simple Stephen Jones hat and matching dress and jacket for the very special occasion. Her look was made even prettier thanks to her pulled-back hair and simple jewelry.
Interestingly, Ragland wasn't the only major guest wearing green. The Queen also chose an ensemble in the color—this time, a brighter, yellow-y shade. Her Stuart Parvin look also featured purple floral accents and included an Angela Kelly hat. Both women clearly had the season in mind when deciding what to wear for the celebration.
Markle and Ragland have a strong bond that was especially evident leading up to the wedding. For example, the mother-daughter duo spent the night before the special day in the same hotel. Ragland's presence was likely especially valuable to the bride, considering her father's absence. Back in 2017, Markle told Glamour how much her mom means to here. "We can just have so much fun together, and yet, I'll still find so much solace in her support," she shared in that interview. "That duality coexists the same way it would in a best friend."
