While tons of famous couples graced the Met Gala's red carpet this year, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds weren't one of them. Instead, the actress returned to her Gossip Girl stomping grounds without her husband in tow. The star didn't leave Reynolds entirely behind, however. In fact, she chose to honor him (and the rest of her family) in the sweetest—and most stylish—way.
To keep her loved ones close, Lively stepped out carrying this personalized accessory: a custom Judith Leiber clutch with "Reynolds" written on it. We love the look on her just as much as we'd love it on a bride—what chicer way to display your new last name?
Her surname wasn't the only custom detail, though. The handbag also featured the first initials of her husband and two children. There was an "R" for Ryan, a "J" for daughter James, and an "I" for daughter Ines, as well as a "B" for herself. An embellished heart on the opposite side tied the whole thing together. Of course, the design also fit right in with the event's theme: Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic Imagination.
It's no surprise that Lively paid tribute to her family. She's known for loving her role as a wife and a mother. In a past interview with Entertainment Tonight, her sister, Robyn, described the star's home life. "They're so great," she shared of Lively and Reynolds. "Their family is everything and I'm so proud of them."
