Cara Santana Revealed That Meghan Markle Inspired Her Upcoming Wedding
And that she, along with the rest of us, will be tuning in to watch her friend tie the knot on May 19.
Ever since she announced her engagement to Prince Harry in November 2017, Meghan Markle has been inspiring brides-to-be-including the famous ones, like longtime friend Cara Santana. In a recent interview with Us Weekly, the Santa Clarita Diet actress, who's engaged to former Desperate Housewives actor Jesse Metcalfe, revealed that Markle has inspired her own nuptials, especially in the venue department.
"I can tell you it's across [the] pond," Santana said. "I'm taking a little cue from my old friend Meghan Markle." While Santana explained that she and her future husband won't be attending her pal's nuptials, she knows that Markle "is going to be a beautiful bride," adding that she'll be there "in spirit." She'll show her support on May 19 by tuning in to watch the former Suits actress marry her prince.
As for her own nuptials? The actress explained that she and Metcalfe have moved their nuptials to August 2019 due to filming schedule conflicts. "We were hoping to do 2018 but his production schedule got pushed back so we're moving everything to 2019. I'm so excited and it's going to be great," she said.
Santana and Metcalfe became engaged in August 2016, after 10 years of dating. The John Tucker Must Die star proposed on a yacht, with New York City's skyline as a backdrop, on the bloggers 30th birthday. "It's been a long time coming, but we couldn't be happier," Metcalfe told Us Weekly shortly after announcing the engagement.
