Former Glee actress Lea Michele announced her engagement over the weekend. Now we're learning even more about the star's special moment. People just spoke with two friends of the singer, and the insiders described the proposal story for fans. According to one source, "it was so romantic and she's just so excited and feels so lucky."
Michele and fiancé Zandy Reich have mostly kept their relationship out of the public eye, so it makes sense that the insider described the occasion as "super private." "Their relationship has been very private, but they're so happy," the friend confirmed, before reiterating that Michele is "extremely happy" and saying that Reich is "a really nice guy."
Another People source shared similar sentiments, reaffirming how delighted Michele is. According to that friend, "this is the happiest that Lea has ever been." The insider also approved of Reich: "Zandy is perfect for her. She knew it was right early on in their relationship." Overall, it seems as though everybody in her inner circle is just as enthused as the author is. "Everyone close to her is just thrilled that she's found happiness," the friend went on to say.
Now that we know how Reich popped the question—with an intimate proposal and four-carat ring—we're learning more about the rest of their love story, too. One of People's insiders revealed that the two were introduced by Michele's best friend, Stephanie Levinson. "Zandy is best friends with Stephanie's husband, so they all know and love each other." They sound like likely candidates for maid of honor and best man, don't they?
