The Middleton clan is certainly growing! Pippa Middleton is apparently following in her big sister Duchess Kate's footsteps—the royal just gave birth to her third child—with a pregnancy announcement. Pippa, who married James Matthews nearly one year ago, is reportedly expecting her first baby, according to The Sun.
While a representative for the couple has yet to comment, sources say that they revealed the happy news to their family and friends last week, following the mom-to-be's 12-week sonogram. "When Pippa found out she was pregnant, she was obviously thrilled and utterly overjoyed," an insider shared. "Naturally, big sister Kate and parents, Carole and Michael, were the first people she told—James aside—and they could not have been more delighted."
The insider also revealed the baby's due date, which is expected to fall sometime in October. "Pippa and James have always known they wanted children," the source said of the couple's decision to start a family. "They have made the most of their first few months of marriage and felt the time was right to expand their family."
Luckily for Middleton and Matthews, their little one will have plenty of cousins to play with. In addition to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and the new yet-to-be-named royal baby, the tot will also have a close cousin on his or her dad's side. The duo's announcement came just weeks after Matthew's younger brother, Spencer, and his fiancée, model Vogue Williams, confirmed that they were also expecting their first child.
