Fast-food chain Chipotle is beloved by the masses, both famous and not. Take Marc Jacobs and his longtime boyfriend, Char Defrancesco, for example. The duo visited the Mexican-inspired restaurant yesterday but, as it turns out, Jacobs wasn't there for a burrito, taco, salad, or bowl. Instead, he had something else up his sleeve: He used the casual destination to pull off an epic and unexpected marriage proposal.
Both Jacobs and Defrancesco took to Instagram last night to share the big moment with their fans. In the clip, they're seen entering one of the stores, where they're met with a flash mob dancing. Based on the tags, it looks as though Plural NYC helped Jacobs organize the talent. While amazing on its own, however, the performance was actually a way to keep Defrancesco distracted! Meanwhile, Jacobs got down on one knee, and surprised his future groom with an engagement ring.
Obviously, Defrancesco said yes, and both celebrated the occasion. "And this happened ... 'Charly Defrancesco will you marry me?''" Jacobs posted on social media. "I LOVE YOU." On his own feed, his fiancé wrote, "Thank you to everyone who helped make this happen." If yesterday wasn't sweet enough already, it also appears to have been Defrancesco's birthday. Earlier in the day, Jacobs posted a tribute to his partner. "HAPPY BIRTHDAY to the love of my life!!!" he wrote then. How's that for a birthday present?
