If you ask John Cena, he's perfectly fine with his fiancée, Nikki Bella, calling all the shots. Earlier this month, the WWE champion told Jimmy Fallon that he's "just kind of on standby to know when and where it is," and is simply enjoying being engaged to the love of his life. While their planning process has been full of false starts—the couple had to move their original wedding date due to scheduling issues—it looks like things are finally back on track.
In a recent interview with Us Weekly, Cena revealed that "now that [Bella's] back" from Paris, where she celebrated her nine-day-long bachelorette party, she's focused on working out all of the details. "She's probably shaking away a pretty big headache and then they'll probably get into the nuts and bolts of the wedding," he said.
He also revealed that he won't be following in his future's wife footsteps—no extended bachelor weekend for Cena! "I do all this fun stuff! I guess where there's not a fun thing to be done, I truly just relax! So, I'm really low-key when it comes to that," he revealed. He's also applied this laid-back attitude to wedding planning. "I'm kind of the assistant principal and she's the principal," he continued, explaining that the bigger choices, like whether or not the couple will write their own vows or televise their ceremony, are left up to Bella. "It's all up to the boss."
The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards host also revealed his tips for keeping his relationship strong. "We work every day on us. We have our problems just like everybody else. Some of our problems are very public, some of them aren't," he said. "But we work every day on us. Anytime I get upset, I always just realize that I can't live without her and I love her and that's why I cave in on a lot of stuff."
