Taylor Swift may have bought off-registry for one couple's wedding, but that's because she didn't know them! The star surprised two newlyweds with a token of gratitude after learning they'd be using her songs in their celebration.
According to Us Weekly, Imagine Edward and Margaret McNoble were met with an unexpected present at reception this past Saturday. Their venue, The Carltun in East Meadow, New York, notified them that mysterious bottle of Champagne was waiting for them! The bubbly came with a note handwritten by Swift, which read, "Rumor has it you might be using my songs in your wedding celebration which makes me so happy! Here's to this amazing day of your continuing love story. Love, Taylor."
Apparently, the now-spouses picked Swift's "Welcome to New York" for their processional, and "Love Story" for their first dance. Somehow, the singer got word of their selections, and thought that it'd be nice to reach out. "When we got to the wedding venue, they told us, 'There [is] a special gift upstairs for you from a very special person,'" the couple explained to Us Weekly. "It was awesome. It was such a great day. With all the moving parts, this was a great surprise!" For those wondering, the luxury booze was by Dom Pérignon, which the pair acknowledged was generous regardless of the giver. That it came from Swift only made the gesture sweeter!
