Quantico's Russell Tovey is officially a fiancé! The actor confirmed the news of his enegagement to Steve Brockman, a fitness coach and former rugby player, to The Daily Mail on Monday night, revealing that it was "completely unexpected."
Tovey, who plays CIA agent Harry Doyle on the drama, might have been surprised when his boyfriend popped the question, but he was beyond thrilled. "[It was] completely unexpected but very, very happy," said, adding that he and Brockman are "looking forward to having a proper party to celebrate when back in London."
Little is known about the couple's impromptu proposal, but it's possible that it happened over the weekend while the duo vacationed in East Hampton, New York. Both Tovey and Brockman shared multiple photos from their trip, which featured chilly walks on the beach with their two pups, pancake breakfasts, and artistic adventures. It's not clear whether Brockman popped the question in the Hamptons or if he and Tovey stole away to celebrate an engagement that happened earlier this year, but one thing is clear—these two are definitely in love.
Tovey and Brockman have never publically discussed how they first met, but they began posting regular photos of each other on social media last summer. Based on their adorable selfies and red-carpet date nights, they've been together ever since. Tovey is thrilled about his upcoming union, something he's embraced for quite some time. When the London Evening Standard asked if marriage was on his horizon, Tovey said, "Totally, 100% I will do it, when the time is right." As for children? "Yeah, all of it," he said. "But I've got my dog at the minute—he's my everything, my sun, and my moon, and my mate."
