Congratulations are in order for queen of comedy, Amy Schumer! The actress married chef Chris Fischer in Malibu, California, Us Weekly reports, and Schumer herself has confirmed the happy news. The newlywed shared a series of photos from the Tuesday ceremony on Instagram, giving fans an inside look at her wedding dress, the décor, and even the guest list.
"Yup," she wrote in her post, affirming the rumors. The photo reel shows off her simple A-line gown, cream-and-blush bouquet, and puppy ring bearers—and also features special guest Jennifer Lawrence! Jake Gyllenhaal and Judd Apatow were also in attendance, as evidenced by photos on the bride's Instagram Story. Schumer's bridesmaids donned embroidered pink dresses and completed their looks with floral crowns; her groom wore a classic suit-and-tie and stepped on a glass before kissing his now-wife.
The actress followed up the announcement with another post for curious fans. "No I'm not pregnant," she wrote, before adding that she was also not receiving gifts. She suggested that fans could show their support for her relationship by supporting a cause near to her and her new husband's hearts. "No gifts, but thank you for asking," she continued. "Instead, please consider [a] donation to Everytown for gun safety. [Sending] love to everyone who has been affected by gun violence."
We're waiting to hear more about the duo's wedding, especially their engagement story. Reports of their relationship first circulated in November 2017, after the pair was spotted eating a romantic dinner at Café Altro Paradiso in New York City, but Schumer didn't confirm the news until February 11, 2018 (just four days ago!), when she posted a photo of the couple kissing at Ellen DeGeneres' 60th birthday party.
The couple's surprise wedding came just months after their first meeting. Schumer's friends claim that the Trainwreck star is thrilled with her whirlwind romance. "Amy's very happy," best friend and fellow comedian Bridget Everett told Us Weekly in December. Everett revealed that she had already met Fischer, indicating that their relationship was serious. It's unclear how Schumer and Fischer met, but the chef and award-winning cookbook author is no stranger to the celebrity circle. His restaurant, Beach Plum—located on Martha's Vineyard, where Fischer resides full-time—is allegedly one of Barack and Michelle Obama's favorites.
