It's time to mark your calendar for yet another royal wedding: Princess Eugenie's wedding date has just been revealed. It was previously disclosed that Her Royal Highness will wed Jack Brooksbank in the fall of this year. Now, we know the exact day of their future nuptials.
Earlier this morning, the Duke of York took to Twitter to release the information. "The marriage of Her Royal Highness Princess Eugenie to Mr. Jack Brooksbank will take place on 12th October 2018," his tweet reads. "As previously announced, the wedding will take place at St. George's Chapel, Windsor Castle." Accordingly, the celebration will fall just under five months after another royal event: Prince Harry's wedding to Meghan Markle, which is being held at the same venue.
Based on the couple's joint interview on BBC's The One Show following the announcement of their engagement, they're likely overjoyed to finally be able to share their wedding date with the world. As E! News points out, the princess explained that it was tough to keep the proposal a secret. "We literally told just our mothers and fathers, brothers and sisters, and my grandparents," she shared on the show. Brooksbank added that they're "so excited now to be telling" everyone else.
The couple can't wait for their wedding day to finally be here. In that same interview, the princess said that the new step in their relationship is "so exciting." Her fiancé agreed, saying that he's "very, very happy" and "just very excited to spend a lifetime together" with his future wife.
