Before you become hyper-focused on choosing the perfect ceremony and reception venue, think about finding a spot to host your pre-wedding celebrations. Namely, your engagement party (it does come first, after all!). Once your significant other pops the question, you'll be so excited to celebrate your newly-engaged status with family and friends, but finding the perfect spot to party might feel daunting, especially when you consider everything else you'll need to plan in the upcoming months. That's why we tapped our friends at the Venue Report to share their favorite spots for an engagement party in one of the most fun cities of all: Los Angeles.

If you're going to be in the City of Angels for your pre-wedding party, you're in luck. The city is home to so many exceptional venues, particularly for this fun, celebratory event, and we found 15 spots that newly-engaged couples will be smitten with. Even better, we found them in a mix of different L.A. neighborhoods, including Atwater Village, Downtown Los Angeles (DTLA for locals), Hollywood, Beverly Hills, Malibu, Venice, Santa Monica, Silver Lake, and West Hollywood.

Love green spaces and endless patios? Madera, an outpost in the heart of Hollywood complete with a wine room and wine barrel décor will be the spot for you and your S.O. If you're all about a vintage vibe, book West Hollywood's Eveleigh; you'll feel transported to another era when you step into their garden courtyard, but then brought right back home thanks to views of L.A. from the rooftop. Overlook the Pacific at the Bungalow Santa Monica, or head to Venice for a party at Plant Food + Wine, where you can celebrate under the twinkle lights.
