Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Aren't Tying The Knot Anytime Soon

At least, not until the final season of Game of Thrones has wrapped.

For Game of Thrones actress Sophie Turner, work comes before wedding planning. Turner's on-screen sister and real-life best friend, Maisie Williams, just revealed that we won't see Turner and fiancé Joe Jonas walk down the aisle until the final season of HBO's hit show has wrapped.

When asked where Turner and Jonas were in the wedding planning process, Williams explained that Game of Thrones filming has to come first. "We're waiting until the season is done until we get into any of that," she told Radio Times. But that hasn't stopped Turner from daydreaming about the big day. "I think she's already letting her little heart wander and imagine," her co-star said.

The wedding planning process might be on hold, but Turner's bridal party is already beginning to take shape. Williams revealed that her best friend has asked her to be a bridesmaid. "It's very exciting. It's kind of bizarre though," she admitted. Williams was just as excited when Turner and Jonas first broke the news of their engagement with corresponding Instagram posts in October 2017. "Congratulations to my beautiful girlfriend on her engagement. This is just one of MANY life milestones we'll share. Love you both," Williams wrote on Instagram.

Beyond the bridesmaid selection process, Turner and Jonas have already begun another important part of planning—celebrating with pre-wedding parties. The duo threw an engagement party in New York City a month after announcing their plan to wed. Jonas' brothers, Nick and Kevin (who are both in the running for best man!), were in attendance, as was model Ashely Graham. The group spent the bulk of the evening at a private restaurant, and later went out dancing. If their up-beat engagement party is any indication, their nuptials will be well worth the wait.
