You'll Never Believe Who Margot Robbie Ran Into on Her Honeymoon

You just can't make this up.

Margot Robbie and her husband, Tom Ackerley, had quite the star-studded honeymoon. During an appearance on The Ellen Degeneres Show, the I, Tonya actress revealed that she unexpectedly ran into several celebrities in Tahiti—including Ellen, herself.

The story is about as comical as it gets. Shortly after tying the knot in December 2016, Robbie and Ackerley retreated to an isolated island with minimal amenities. "It's like [a] shack that you stay in, there's no electricity, no mirrors or anything like that," she explained. "So, we'd been there for four days, and then the last bit of the honeymoon was like a really nice hotel. Like, really luxury. It was lovely."

It was raining when the duo arrived at their luxe last stop, so they had just two activity options to choose from: the gym or the spa. "We were like, 'Oh, I don't really wanna work out but I guess we could do something at the gym.' So, we get changed to go the gym and Tom puts on these shorts, they're his oldest gym shorts and they're tiny... like, really short, and there's nothing underneath."

Robbie and Ackerley walked into the gym, and—totally shocked—saw Ellen Degeneres running on the treadmill. "And then on the treadmill next to her is Portia [de Rossi], her wife. Tom and I are like, 'Oh my God.' Tom's face has just gone white," she said. It gets better. "I was already starstuck and then [Ellen's] like, 'Have you met Obama? We were like, 'What?' And standing next to them is former president Barack Obama. I'm not kidding."

Did we mention that Robbie said that her husband was "going to kill her" for telling this story? While all of this was happening, the Wolf of Wall Street alum thought she was going to "crack a rib" from laughing so hard, especially since Ackerley was wearing a rather embarrassing gym get-up. She did claim, however, that she told her husband to pass on the shorts, making her mirth completely justified.
