Congratulations are in order for Lara Spencer! The Good Morning America co-host's publicist told People that Spencer and her beau of two years, Rick McVey, are engaged.
The Flea Market Flip creator, producer, and host first crossed paths with McVey on a blind date, after they were set up by a mutual friend. While she hasn't yet spoken of her fiancé publically, Spencer hasn't been shy about posting about him on social media. McVey, the CEO of a successful financial technology company, has made many appearances on his new fiancée's Instagram over the last year. In the last few months, the happy duo traveled to Paris, enjoyed world-class cocktails, and attended football games—and they couldn't look happier together.
This will be the second wedding for Spencer, who was previously married to real estate broker and reporter David Haffenreffer. Their amicable split was announced in 2015, and both have been dedicated to raising their two teenage children ever since. This will also be McVey's second union, and he has three grown daughters of his own.
Spencer isn't the only leading lady in talk show television to have wedding news. Meghan McCain, co-host on The View, revealed that she was married to Ben Domench in late November. The couple's pre-Thanksgiving nuptials were held on the McCain family ranch in Sedona, Arizona, and included a very special father-daughter moment—Senator John McCain, who was recently diagnosed with brain cancer, gave his daughter away during an emotional ceremony. The politican couldn't have been happier about his daughter's choice in partner. "I'm very proud and very happy that they're so happy together," he said on The View.
