"A Thousand Years" singer Christina Perri married her longtime boyfriend, Paul Costabile, in New York City on Tuesday. The couple's city hall nuptials came six months after they announced their engagement on Instagram—and just four months after revealing that they have a baby on the way!
"On this day four years ago, we met. Today WE GOT MARRIED!" the songstress gushed in an Instagram post, alongside a black-and-white photo of her husband holding her in a romantic dip. Costabile, an entertainment reporter, shared several sweet sentiments in his own post, where he called Perri his "dream girl." "Today I married my best friend, he wrote. "Pretty sure I'm the proudest I've EVER been to be able to call the most bellissima person [and] woman I've ever known now my wife!"
"I thank God for the gift of her, our relationship, our bambino on the way, our family's love and support and this unforgettable year," he continued, before revealing that a more formal ceremony and party are in the works. "For friends and fam wondering, invites to an official shindig [are] coming soon."
Perri and Costabile met in 2013 in a green room, where Perri was being interviewed. According to Costabile, he knew he wanted to marry her right then and there. "I knew I wanted to ask this girl to marry me the day she walked into the green screen for an interview almost 4 years ago. I finally asked her right here tonight and she said yes," he wrote on Instagram in June, right after proposing. Shortly after accepting her now-husband's proposal, Perri posted a photo of her engagement ring, which featured a single diamond in a unique V-shaped setting.
