According to Dax Shepard, he and Kristen Bell are a power couple because they work on their marriage "like a job." The former Parenthood actor told People that he and Bell, his wife of four years, attribute marital success to pure commitment.

"We do couple's therapy," the actor said, when asked to share the secret to his marriage. "Relationships aren't just perfect." Shepard also opened up about prioritizing time they spend together, one-on-one, in the face of parenting and acting schedules. "If I say, 'Hey, what are you doing Thursday?' It's never going to happen. But if I put something on the calendar, it works out," he said.

Shepard puts time with his wife on the same level as a work obligation, he explained. "You do have to take it as seriously as you take your work commitments. It has to be scheduled and you have to prioritize it or it doesn't happen." However, Shepard also mentioned that a little spontaneity here and there doesn't hurt. When describing the most romantic thing he'd ever done for Bell, he revealed that he once bought a plane ticket next to his wife without her knowing. "I got the seat next to her on the airplane and then I sweet-talked the gate representative to let me on the plane early. So when she went to sit down, I was in her seat reading a newspaper," he explained. "And then she noticed those hands look familiar and then she started bawling when she saw that I was on the flight," he said.

It's obvious that these two have a strong bond—which makes it pretty hilarious that neither of them truly know their wedding anniversary. "I think it's October 17th, but that's because your segment producer told me that," Bell told James Corden on The Late Late Show. "We only know because my mom reminds me. She's like 'Happy anniversary!' [Dax and I] wake up and check our texts and go 'Happy anniversary, honey.'"
