Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's wedding party selections are already underway! According to an Us Weekly source, Harry officially asked his big brother, William, to be his best man in his May 2018 nuptials. William has reportedly accepted, returning the favor that Harry paid him when he served as best man in his 2011 ceremony at Westminster Abbey.
"Harry has several close guy friends, but there's no way he would ask anyone but William to take on the top job," the inside said. A recent interview, which showed the future King of England wishing Harry and Meghan well, revealed the brothers' close and comical bond. "We're very excited. Delighted for them both, and wishing them all the happiness in this very exciting time. For me, personally, I hope it means he stays out of my fridge, it will stop him scrounging off of my food. He's done it the last few years," he joked.
The future king followed up the jab with a more emotional sentiment, recalling his own engagement to Kate Middleton. "It's a fantastic process to go through, you know, the engagement, and then the buildup to the wedding," he said. "I think they're very caught up in the moment, and I wish them all the happiness and success in planning the wedding."
Prince William isn't the only royal member of the happy couple's party. Another Us Weekly source claimed that Harry's niece and nephew, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, will also be involved in the big day. This won't be the royal children's first rodeo—at their Aunt Pippa Middleton's wedding in May 2017, they served, respectively, as page boy and bridesmaid. On Markle's side, the source said, the actress's friend and stylist Jessica Mulroney's daughter, Ivy, will also be included.
