Meghan McCain and Ben Domenech are starting the holiday season on a high note—the duo reportedly tied the knot earlier this week. According to a People source, the The View co-host married the conservative political writer on Tuesday at her the family's ranch in Sedona, Arizona.

The insider divulged that the pre-Thanksgiving wedding was a family affair, complete with a very special father-daughter moment. "The bride's father, Senator John McCain, gave her away and they were married by John Dickerson. Following the ceremony, McCain and Domenech celebrated with dinner and dancing surrounded by their family and close friends," they said. Hours before McCain walked down the aisle, she posted a sweet Instagram of her bridal slippers, embroidered with "I do." She captioned the photo with an #AlmostTime hashtag, along with the hourglass, bride, and cactus emojis.

The Senator's daughter opened up about Domench's proposal on The View earlier this month. She said that the pair became engaged at the Mayo Clinic in July, after visiting her father (the Senator had just been diagnosed with aggressive brain cancer). "We got engaged because we decided to sort of celebrate life and celebrate being alive," she said on the daytime talk show. "It's not the most romantic story, but he is my partner." John McCain approved of the match. "He's a very fine man," he said during an October appearance on The View. "I'm very proud and very happy that they're so happy together."

Meghan McCain also revealed that before Domenech came along, she never thought she would marry. "I am still dating and love my job and not ready to settle down at all," she told the Los Angeles Times in 2015. "I don't know if I ever want to get married and have kids. And I think that's a common struggle." Today, McCain knows that her now-husband caused her change of heart. "'Wait for people who love strong women," she said. "The men who love strong, independent women, they're out there. Don't settle for anything else."
