Serena Williams is about to get married! Earlier, news broke that the star is tying the knot this week. It was also revealed that the athlete and her spouse-to-be, Alexis Ohanian, are saying their vows in New Orleans, Louisiana. We already know about the star-studded guest list, but now, we're learning about the wedding's theme, and a few other details about the multi-day celebration.

HOW TO THROW A TASTEFUL THEMED WEDDING

According to Entertainment Tonight, the event will be Beauty and the Beast-themed. The celebrity is said to be wearing two different dresses, one of which TMZ saw being delivered yesterday. An E! News source added that the bride's sisters will be her bridesmaids.

The Entertainment Tonight insider also shared that the rehearsal dinner took place last night at the restaurant Meril. According to E! News, about 100 of the couple's family and friends were there, including spouses Eva Longoria and José Bastón, and newlyweds Colton Haynes and Jeff Leatham. Don't count on many photos—upon arrival, guests were apparently asked to put their phones into lockable pouches. Everyone munched on beignets from a Café Du Monde truck, and plenty of Champagne bottles were popped. Williams wore a glamorous, sparkling outfit for the occassion.

With the rehearsal dinner happening last night, the wedding must be today! Apparently, guests will sip on pre-ceremony drinks, watch the couple wed, and then head to the reception. The party is posed to go until 3 a.m. Tomorrow, there's said to be a post-wedding brunch. That will take place at the Ace Hotel, and will have a DJ, games, and drinks—how fun!

We've also learned that Ohanian had his bachelorette party on Tuesday night. That celebration was held at Frankie & Johnny's. "It was a good-size group and they enjoyed themselves," a source explained to E! News. The insider said that Ohanian and his friends "wanted to have an authentic New Orleans experience."
