Idina Menzel Opens Up About Life with New Husband Aaron Lohr

Life is better than ever for Idina Menzel, who recently married Aaron Lohr, her boyfriend of two years. While attending the premiere of the new Disney/Pixar movie Coco, the Broadway star chatted with People about her relationship. Although she went to the event on her own, Lohr clearly wasn't far from Menzel's mind-she couldn't stop gushing about her new husband.

"He's my guy," she said, adding that she loves being able to call Lohr her husband. The couple met on the set of the 2005 movie adaptation of Rent, but didn't get together until nearly ten years after. Menzel has since called Lohr the love of her life.

The pair married in late September in a backyard ceremony at their shared home in California. The wedding was a beautiful and intimate family affair, which included her eight-year-old son, Walker, and her father walking her down the aisle.

Luckily for Menzel, her son, from her previous marriage to actor Taye Diggs, has a great relationship with Lohr. "They're very close," she said. "They're probably watching a film, or they run around play dodgeball with a sock, they make a ball out of socks and they hit each other." While blended families can be tough on some, Menzel, Lohr, and Walker seem like one happy group. "Family, to me, means being able to be yourself, sit back on the couch and relax, and watch a movie with the people that know you better than anyone else in the world," she said.
