Kelly Clarkson and husband Brandon Blackstock have no trouble making their marriage work, but they do have trouble remembering their wedding anniversary. The "Love So Soft" singer told ET Online that both her and her husband's hectic schedules are to blame for the oversight.

"We have forgotten two out of four of our anniversaries," she admitted. "But the great thing about us is we collectively do it. It's not like one of us forgets and one of us remembers. We both epically fail. We're always very busy. The only times we've remembered our anniversary is when we had [it] off. If we're working, we forget what day it is." Their four-year anniversary fell on the same day as Clarkson's Christmas music release, which meant that the special day was far from her mind. "Happy Christmas release song day," she recalled telling her husband. "He was like, 'Or happy anniversary." I freaked out."

Luckily, there was no need to panic—Blackstock had forgotten, too. But the couple feels strongly that forgetting their anniversary isn't a bad thing. It's a sign that they prioritize and treasure their relationship every day. "We're so happy we just forget," she continued. "Every day is an anniversary." The duo maintains their love and commitment by making sure they spend time together each night, which means setting boundaries with their two children. "We have a village helping us and at bedtime, bye—it's Mommy and Daddy time," she said. "You don't have to go to bed, but you can't stay here. You gotta go somewhere else."

Clarkson also revealed that she felt lucky to find Blackstock after years of trial and error. "I was single for a very long time and it's hard when you're in the limelight [and] you're financially set and maybe they aren't—it's just a lot of intimidation," she explained of her past. "I found a cowboy, a real man that can handle this."
