"Went to the park for a stroll with [our dog] Klee and came back with a fiancé," she wrote, alongside a photo of her and Long kissing. "I get to marry my best friend and I'm over the moon. I love you @c_long," she concluded. Shortly after the announcement, Parish posted a video of the large, sparkly emerald-cut diamond on a pavé rose gold band by Jean Dousset. "I can't stop staring at it," she wrote. "I mean…@jeandousset you outdid yourself. And @c_long you did GOOD."

The couple's engagement came just after their one year anniversary, which Long commemorated with a photo on Instagram. "Year one down," he wrote just last month. "The happiest. Can't wait for what's to come @janelparrish." His words are infinitely more romantic in retrospect—Long was likely in the process of planning the proposal then.
Details of the proposal have yet to emerge, but we do know that Long popped the question in Toronto, Canada, where Parrish is currently working on a Grease musical. Luckily, distance hasn't been an issue for the couple, since Long has prioritized visits. "The fam is back together," the actress posted in late September, with a sweet video of the couple showing their pup some love. The couple may have to spend some time apart before they can celebrate together with friends and family, but that hasn't stopped their loved ones from expressing their congratulations. "My best friend is engaged!!" Skylar Shaye, Parrish's friend and Bratz: The Movie costar wrote on Instagram. "Congrats @janelparrish & @c_long. I'm so excited!"
