Winning over wife Ryan Michelle Bathe wasn't easy for actor Sterling K. Brown. While on The Talk on Thursday, the This Is Us star dished on how he got her to give him a second chance.

When asked if it was hard to get his spouse to date him, Brown described the couple's love story. "So we dated off and on in college and then we broke up for three and a half years before we came back into each other's lives," he explained. "She was on the treadmill working out, and I had this epiphany: 'I have to go tell this woman she's the love of my life.'" From there, his interview took a hilarious and adorable turn.

"I go to her apartment, I tell her, and she's like, 'Well, I'm working out right now,' and I was like, 'No, I can see that—I'll just talk to you while you're on the treadmill,' and she's like, 'Well, I feel like going outside. So I'm gonna go on a run,'" he went on. According to the actor, Bathe started running, and he ran after her, all while dressed in a suit! "Brother had to work, but it was well worthwhile," he concluded.

Clearly, his tactic was a success, as the couple's been married for decade. They tied the knot in 2007 and now share two children, Andrew and Amaré. Earlier this year, the pair shared the secret to their marriage: they don't ever rehearse together.
